Description: NetLimiter is a great way to keep track of how much you are downloading and uploading each month. This is useful if you have an Internet Service Provider (ISP) who puts a cap on how much you can download per month (such as Comcast). Unlike most other free traffic monitors, it tells you how much bandwidth each application is using.

The paid version can even set download/upload transfer rate limits for each application (bandwidth shaping).
